Thônes is situated about 60 kms from Geneva, and 30 kms from Annecy and its lake.

Famous for its local cheese, the "Reblochon", Thônes is in the heart of the Aravis Massif, about 10 kms from La Clusaz and Grand Bornand.

 Follow the sign "centre ville" of Thônes, pass the church and continue along the street. At the roundabout, follow "toutes directions, show-room Mobalpa". Pass the Carrefour Market supermarket, turn right just after: direction Glapigny, Le Piguet. Follow this road for 3 kms (Les Plans – Les Perrières – Le Martinet – La Tour –Bois Martin).

On the hair-pin bend, then turn left in the small road indicated: "Plan Vouthier - Les Burdines". Follow it on; pass a little pink house with a veranda. From here the road is unmade. No panic, it is in good repair. Go down and pass a little bridge, go up again, the Chalet Les Burdines awaits you on the left. Parking space is at the rear.
